Breast Cancer Rebar Ribbons on Main Street in Boonton

If you are a pedestrian who walks down Main Street in Boonton you might notice a sidewalk sign in front of my personal training studio that says;

“Breast cancer awareness month, please bring this rebar ribbon to someone who needs it”

It would also have an arrow pointing to a small bistro table that has some reinforcing bars that were bent into a ribbon shape and painted pink for breast cancer awareness along with the rebar to ribbons letter that is included with it.

rebar ribbon

Here’s a bit of the back story, these rebar ribbons were bent on the bridge of my nose as the finale feat during my strongman performances. Over the years, I’ve done over 100 shows and though I always announce that they will be given to someone with cancer to reinforce their spirit, I don’t always have someone to give them to.

So if you are walking down Main Street in Boonton, and you see them out for display, and if you know someone fighting the good fight please take one and give it to them. I don’t want anything in return for them.

If you feel like paying something for it…just find a reputable cancer charity and give it to them. And if you happen to see me inside, come on in and tell me about the person you gave it to. It makes me feel good to give back and hear about the person I gave it to.

I promise you won’t be interrupting me, and my personal training clients won’t mind.
